Children in Gaza fly kites on Friday, Feb. 9 as military escalation looms. For these children, they said flying kites is a welcome distraction from the grim reality of life in Rafah's tent city.

Along with kite-making, Rob Booth, who was there was his son, said he too flew kites as a youngster and now he was giving his children the same opportunity. They were busy making a kite’s tail.
