Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte said he had a strong feeling the Longhorns would make the field as soon as he saw North Carolina’s name announced. "It's a clean slate. Everyone's healthy," Del Conte said. "You got Xavier, you got Illinois. We have a chance. That's all you can ask for."

On Sunday, the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee possibly gave Texas Longhorns head coach Rodney Terry an opportunity to improve his job security.

Some Longhorns like Tramon Mark and Kadin Shedrick are back in the NCAA Tournment. For others such as Tre Johnson and Jordan Pope, it's a new experience.
