The L.A. Zoo is pausing its elephant program and sending Bill and Tina to the Tulsa Zoo, but animal rights advocates want the ailing giants to be sent to a sanctuary.

If durability defines the worth of a play, “The Elephant Man” by Bernard Pomerance is, at the very least, a good play, and possibly a great one.

The blood vessels are large and quite visible on the backs of the elephant’s ears. The vessels allow for excellent blood circulation. As the blood flows through the ears, it cools down.
