Over 11,000 Android devices hit by fake login RAT hidden in Meta Ads and fake Google Play store
Thousands of fake Play Store sites are distributing PlayPraetor, a RAT that spoofs hundreds of banking and crypto apps.
These apps seem legitimate, but in fact, they are carriers of Trojan malware meant to steal the data of users. CTM360 has discovered over 6,000 such fake Play Store pages.
Some of these fake apps are trying to fool users into thinking that they are from OpenAI. Recent reports show a rise in the presence of such fake apps on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
