The Falcons signed Cousins to a four-year, $180 million contract last offseason, but he was replaced by rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. toward the end of the year. In his 14 games under center for Atlanta, he threw for 3,508 yards, 18 touchdowns and a career-high 16 interceptions, the latter of which tied for the league lead.

Although Kirk Cousins attempted to convince owner Arthur Blank to release him back in March, the demoted quarterback has not necessarily become a malcontent in Atlanta. He reported for the start of voluntary offseason workouts today, WSB’s Zach Klein reports.
