Texas flags are half-staff through sunset Friday to observe the death of former Railroad Commissioner of Texas, Carole Keeton.

Flags in Texas have been at half-staff since Thursday to honor former Austin Mayor and Texas Comptroller Carole Keeton, who died this week at 85. Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset Friday.

Gov. Greg Abbott encouraged individuals, businesses, and local governments across Texas to lower their flags during the same time period.
