The split was described as “amicable” in a statement shared by Guns N’ Roses, who said, “The band thanks Frank for his friendship, creativity, and sturdy presence over the past 19 years, and they wish him success in the next chapter of his musical journey.”

Jamie Douglass is another drummer who's worked with a member of Guns N' Roses in recent years — Duff McKagan. He’s a session drummer who played on the bassist’s two most recent solo albums, Tenderness (2019) and Lighthouse (2023). Although those records were a bit different from Guns musically, it doesn’t mean he’s not capable of the task.
