Huawei is at the center of a fresh scandal in Europe, following allegations that lobbyists bribed members of the European Parliament.

Police carried out raids in Belgium and Portugal as part of a graft probe linked to the Chinese tech giant and lawmakers in Brussels.

Authorities said the supposed perpetrators resorted to payments, food and travel gifts, and invitations to watch soccer matches in exchange for favorable political decisions that would promote private commercial interests.
