Moscow has said it was not obliged to help Iran under a potential U.S. attack after President Donald Trump warned Tehran against getting a nuclear weapon.On Monday, Trump said the U.S. was having direct talks with Tehran over its nuclear program which western countries fear will lead to it developing a weapon.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday that bombing Iran would not pave the way to peace with, and that Moscow hoped that talks between the U.S. and Iran may help to avoid a crisis.

Russia said on Wednesday the world was getting tired of endless threats against Iran and that bombing the Islamic Republic would not bring peace, cautioning that Tehran was already taking preventative measures.
