Usha Chilukuri Vance, Yale law graduate and trial lawyer, was thrust into the spotlight last year after her husband, JD Vance, was chosen as Donald Trump’s running mate in the 2024 presidential election.

Nine years later, he's preparing to be sworn in as the 50th vice president of the United States. "Never in my wildest imagination would I have believed that I could be standing here tonight," Vance told a packed arena when he accepted the nomination at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last year.
