With the Chiefs playing the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day last season, the franchise reportedly wants to make it an annual thing. The Chiefs are surely looking to follow in the footsteps of other teams who have their "own" game on the holidays, with the Dallas Cowboys synonymous with Thanksgiving Day games.

"This year, the NFL will have three games on Christmas Day, the first two streaming on Netflix and the third as part of Amazon Prime’s 'Thursday Night Football' package (the holiday falls on a Thursday), an industry source confirmed Tuesday. The news was first reported by John Ourand of Puck."

Christmas Day playing time is at the top of the Chiefs’ holiday wishlist. Kansas City wants to be a staple in the NFL’s Dec. 25 slate moving forward and has requested such to the league, The Athletic reported Wednesday, with the Chiefs “expected to be one of the teams to play” on the holiday later this year.
