The National Weather Service in Huntsville said at least three EF-1 tornadoes touched down late Saturday in north Alabama. They all appeared to be spawned from one “parent” storm. And the number could go higher.

At least two confirmed tornadoes struck central Alabama during Sunday's severe weather, one in Dallas and another in Barbour counties. Damage in the Wilcox County community of Pine Hill is being surveyed Tuesday by teams from the National Weather Service office in Mobile to determine if a tornado touched down there.

The National Weather Service has confirmed a twelfth tornado touchdown during a massive line of deadly storms that swept across Michigan on March 30. It also said survey teams continue to look at a couple more areas that could show signs of twister damage.
