Is there room for two shows about murders inside a building at the Emmys? Netflix's The Residence stars Uzo Aduba as Cordelia Cupp, the world's greatest detective who's called to solve a murder at the White House.

The Netflix series, executive produced by Shonda Rimes, is the latest lighthearted murder mystery on streaming TV.

The delightfully quirky and entertaining eight-episode miniseries begins, of course, after a body is discovered. However, unlike recent franchises such as “Knives Out” and “The White Lotus,” the crime does not take place in a private mansion or at an exclusive vacation resort.
