As per Netflix, the autoplay feature was intended to help make it “faster and easier for our members to find titles tailored to their tastes.” However, not all users liked this feature.

To do so, go to your Netflix account settings and select Edit Settings > Playback Settings. Remove the checkmark from "Autoplay previews whilst browsing on all devices" and press "Save".
