Funk pioneer George Clinton is bringing famed musical collective Parliament-Funkadelic back to New York City at Palladium Times Square.
Clinton began his music career as a teen when he formed The Parliaments. In the early '70s, he put together Funkadelic, whose Mothership Connection album dropped in 1975. Originally broadcast in 1989.
Clinton is the leader of two important funk bands, Parliament and Funkadelic. In 1975, Parliament released Mothership Connection, a loose concept album about funk musicians as galactic invaders.
