Rob Gronkowski will be taking his talents to the race track. The four-time Super Bowl champion and former New England Patriots tight end was named the Grand Marshal of the “The Snake Pit” for the Indy 500. Gronkowski, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, will give the command to start the party.

Rob Gronkowski will have an entertainment role for his first Indianapolis 500 next month. The longtime NFL tight end will be the grand marshal for the “Snake Pit,” the infield party that takes place during “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

Gronkowski will serve as the grand marshal for the Indy 500 on May 25, it was announced Wednesay. The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end will be in the iconic Snake Pit when he gives the starting command of "Drivers, start your engines."
