Former first daughter Amy Carter is featured in a new exhibit at the JFK Presidential Library about presidential pets.

"So, we try to hold our family together and just enjoy the family life." As Ms Carter’s casket started to travel on Monday, her four children – Jack, Chip, Jeff and Amy – accompanied her hearse.

Carter served as president of the White House for one term, from 1977- 1981. The late president is survived by children — Jack, Chip, Jeff, and Amy; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Carter spoke publicly about that decision in 2003: “When we started the Rosalynn Carter Institute, we actually led the way in the whole country because nobody was working on caregiving.” ...

The Carters were married for 77 years until Rosalynn died on Nov. 19, 2023. Jimmy Carter died on Dec. 29, 2024, nearly three months after he celebrated his 100th birthday.
