Granted national park status in 1919, Zion's maze of steep, red-rock canyons and high-altitude forests have enchanted people for generations, from the Southern Paiute tribes to Mormon pioneers.
Located in the Zion Canyon, visitors will exit the free canyon shuttle at No. 7/Weeping Rock and follow the signs for the trailhead. Hikers will find vault toilets, but not many other facilities.
