Following a shooting at Minneapolis' Boom Island Park earlier this week that left a woman dead and six others injured, the city's park board says it will be adding extra security measures starting Friday night.

Investigators were back out at Boom Island Park on Thursday seeking more evidence in the Sunday shootings that left one woman dead and five men injured. No arrests have been made.

The nighttime violence at the popular Mississippi River park is the second burst of gun violence in the city in recent weeks. Mayor Jacob Frey said on social media the city must “keep incidents like this rare.
