Jimmer Fredette has a career arc unlike anybody else. A former BYU standout who became an NBA lottery pick, he went on to be a massive star in China, then transitioned into being one of the top 3x3 players in the world and an Olympian.

Former BYU star and Naismith Player of the Year Jimmer Fredette is retiring from basketball.The 36-year-old, who most recently played for Team USA’s 3x3 team in last year’s Olympics, once led the Cougars to the Sweet 16 while averaging almost 29 points per game.

It's been 14 years since Jimmer Fredette threw on a pair of baggy, navy blue shorts and scored 30-plus in tournament games for BYU.
