Immigration officials allege that the man, who had two students in the car with him, has criminal convictions and was twice previously removed from the country.

Administrators at Acero Schools in Chicago said they escorted two students into school and that additional social work support is being made available to students. Federal immigration authorities confirmed the action Thursday.
