Lindgren put Colorado up 1-0 at 13:21 of the first period with a seeing-eye wrist shot from the top of the point through traffic that beat a screened Wolf to the blocker. The goal was Lindgren's first with the Avalanche after he was acquired from the New York Rangers on March 1 and first in 29 games overall.

The Calgary Flames (30-24-11) are in must-win territory on a nightly basis, but dropped their second consecutive contest on Friday, losing to the Colorado Avalanche 4-2 at the Saddledome.

Next up is a matchup on home ice against the Dallas Stars. The Stars are three points up on the Avalanche, with two games in hand. A win would be massive, as the Avalanche hope to take over the second spot in the division in what will undoubtedly be a first-round war between the two teams.

The Maple Leafs are coming off a big 6-2 victory over the Calgary Flames, and it looks like their game against Colorado will have a very similar lineup.
