Dan Bongino will be getting another pair of hands to help with the demanding task of being the deputy director of the FBI after President Donald Trump announced that he had tapped Andrew Bailey to serve alongside him.
The move appears to diminish the authority of the current deputy director, Dan Bongino, whose tumultuous tenure has included a pitched argument over files related to the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Bongino admitted “the timing’s not great” for the news, referring to the optics surrounding Fox News after settling Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against them for $787.5 million.
Dan Bongino, the ultra-conservative personality and steadfast Donald Trump defender, is done at Fox News. Bongino, 48, said he and the network simply couldn’t agree on a new contract.
In addition to his primetime role, Bongino will continue serving as host of Westwood One's "The Dan Bongino Show," with FOX Nation now also streaming his daily radio program from 12-3 p.m. ET.
