Google's Gemini AI introduces features to remember past chats or forget instantly and go incognito, letting users choose between personalised help and complete privacy

G oogle is rolling out an update for Gemini that will allow the AI chatbot to “remember” your past conversations without prompting. With the setting turned on, Gemini will automatically recall your “key details and preferences” and use them to personalize its output.

Google’s Gemini chatbot can now use past chats to give users a more personalized experience. The new feature, which will be on by default, will be rolling out to all users over the coming weeks, but there will be an option to turn it off. A new Temporary Chat feature will also let users have on-off chats with the assistant.
