The Gifford Fire in Southern California has consumed over 80,000 acres and forced parts of two counties to be evacuated. The fire, located on Highway 166 northwest of Santa Maria, California, was burning on both sides of the highway,

California’s Gifford Fire has scorched more than 82,000 acres, injuring at least three people and forcing evacuations in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.

New evacuation warnings were issued in Santa Barbara County on Tuesday as the Gifford Fire surpassed 80,000 acres.
