Hurricane Erin continued to track away from the United States on Friday, and attention is turning to two other potential storms in the Atlantic Ocean. The National Hurricane Center thinks both of the systems could become tropical depressions soon. And one seems to be on a path that those in the Caribbean will need to watch.

The first hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic season is also one of the largest, fastest-growing hurricanes in recorded history

"Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions," NWS said. "Large waves can present a danger to people on rocks above the water. Stay away from rock outcrops along the shoreline exposed to ocean wave as waves can easily sweep people into the cold ocean water."
