Karen Read was cleared of murder and manslaughter charges Wednesday, as a huge crowd of her supporters roared with applause outside of the courthouse in Dedham, Massachusetts. The jury found her guilty only of operating under the influence of alcohol (OUI).

A Massachusetts jury returned a verdict in the Karen Read case, acquitting her of the most serious charges and finding her guilty of a lesser charge.

The jury has returned a not guilty verdict on the top charge of murder in the second trial of Karen Read, who was charged with killing her Boston police officer boyfriend.
