Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has explained how Avengers: Secret Wars will change the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward. The next few years will see another huge two-part team-up, with Doomsday and then Secret Wars. But what will come after that?

This really will be the end of the line for (most of) the original X-Men actors, such as Ian McKellen (Magneto) and Patrick Stewart (Professor X), who are back from since-reversed swan songs in Days of Future Past and Logan respectively.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is about to receive some fresh faces for some of its iconic heroes in the near future, as studio chief Kevin Feige has announced that following 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars, it will recast the mutant team for the upcoming X-Men movie, and eventually, other famous roles like Tony Stark and Steve Rogers.
