At the 2025 reveal, two Hollywood area restaurants earned three stars — the highest Michelin achievement — to give California a total of eight restaurants with that distinction (three more than New York City).

Six California restaurants, including one Bay Area spot, have been added to the Michelin Guide 's prestigious Bib Gourmand list.

The seven Bib Gourmand restaurants in Orange County are CHAAK Kitchen of Tustin, Fable & Spirit in Newport Beach, Heritage Barbecue in San Juan Capistrano, Khan Saab Desi Craft Kitchen in Fullerton, Lola Gaspar in Santa Ana, Pho 79 in Garden Grove and Ramen & Tsukemen TAO in Buena Park.
