On Texas Rangers Opening Day, North Texas woke up to mostly cloudy skies. A First Alert Weather Day is in place for Friday due to more widespread rain in the forecast, along with some embedded thunderstorms.

A cold front will move into the area on Sunday, March 23, bringing low storm chances to areas near and east of Interstate 35, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. There’s a chance that a few storms may be strong to severe over Sunday afternoon and evening, and some may bring large hail and damaging winds to the area.
