Back in late 2011, just after the NBA lockout had been resolved, the Los Angeles Lakers appeared to have landed future Hall of Fame guard Chris Paul in a major trade. But that trade was blocked by then-commissioner David Stern, who was acting as the owner of the New Orleans Hornets, Paul's team at the time.

The NBA offseason is just a few weeks away from starting, and there are expected to be a lot of moves taking place around the league. There are some notable free agents heading onto the market, and plenty of teams are expected to be very active.
