An 18-year-old has been arrested and is facing multiple felony charges in connection with a break-in and vandalism that led to the closure of a Rohnert Park school on Monday.

An 18-year-old was arrested for an act of “excessive vandalism” at John Reed Elementary School that forced officials to cancel classes this past Monday. The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said its patrol units arrived at 390 Arlen Drive within minutes Monday of being alerted of an overnight break-in and found that

Classes at an elementary school in Sonoma County are set to resume Tuesday after vandals broke in early Monday and caused what was described as "extensive" damage.

Early Monday, someone broke into the school and ransacked about half the student spaces, scattering classroom materials, technology, learning tools and student drawings.
