"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, heavy rain is still possible with this thunderstorm," says the NWS Raleigh NC. The warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m.

A yellow thunderstorm warnings, meanwhile, have been issued for all of Wales, and large parts of western England from 2pm today until 11.59pm tonight, and for the south and the east from 7pm until 6am tomorrow. Flooding in the amber areas is likely, while in the yellow areas is possible, the Met said.
