Boston City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson pleaded guilty Monday in federal court to two charges of corruption tied to a kickback scheme in which she took a cash hand off in a city hall bathroom Fernandes Anderson,

The Boston City Councilor was arrested in December on federal charges for allegedly pocketing a $7,000 kickback from a relative who worked on her staff.

She made history four years ago with her election to the Boston City Council, but Tania Fernandes Anderson’s tenure on that body could come to an ignominious end Monday.
