Severe storms raked across Nashville and Middle Tennessee on Saturday, bringing multiple tornado warnings, at least one possible tornado, plus torrential rains and high winds all around the region. Heavy rain and flooding are the main areas of concern through the weekend,

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Multiple areas in Middle Tennessee had reports of damage after tornado-warned storms rolled through. Areas such as Madison, Kingston Springs, Pegram, Dickson, Gallatin and many other places had reports of damage. In Madison, a business called Line-X in Nashville partially collapsed.

Tornado Warning active for Davidson, Sumner and Wilson counties. UPDATE (Sat. April, 5) -- A tornado has been issued for a large portion of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky until 9 p.m. The main line carrying the threat of major severe weather is expected at 3 p.m.- 12 a.m.

At least 16 people were killed from weather-related fatalities this week, including tornadoes that destroyed entire neighborhoods and ensuing flooding.

Parts of the South and Midwest were pummeled by relentless rain and tornadic storms on Saturday as a prolonged period of life-threatening flood risk reached its peak.

At least eight people in four states have been killed amid widespread storm destruction. The tornado threat has escalated, and life-threatening flash flooding will continue in the days ahead.

The rising water levels have prompted rescues and road closures. The storm, which has already wreaked havoc across the South and the Midwest, doesn’t show signs of letting up.
