BEREA, Ohio (WOIO) - The owner of the Cleveland Browns announced Tuesday they are building a five-story hotel in Berea, as part of the District 46 at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus. Construction on The Barker Hotel is scheduled to begin late this year and be completed in 2027.

The Cleveland Browns announced that a Marriott branded hotel will be part of the team's expansion of its Berea headquarters.

The Haslam Sports Group — owners of the Cleveland Browns — and Independence-based developer DiGeronimo Companies are expected to break ground later this year on “The Barker Hotel,” a five-story Tribute Portfolio hotel at the recently-announced District 46 at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus in Berea.

Construction of The Barker Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott, is slated to begin later this year with a completion date in 2027.
