Syria's central bank has ordered commercial banks to freeze all accounts tied to people and companies linked to the ousted regime of former President Bashar al-Assad, according to a document seen by Reuters and people familiar with the decision.

Israeli security forces conducted a large-scale raid in Jenin, backed by helicopters. The operation, termed significant by Prime Minister Netanyahu, resulted in at least four Palestinian deaths. It marks heightened tensions and follows President Trump's removal of sanctions on Israeli settlers attacking Palestinian villages.

Israeli forces launched an operation in Jenin on Tuesday which Palestinian officials said killed 10 people, just days after a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect in the Gaza Strip.

"On the directive of the Security Cabinet, the IDF, the ISA, and the Israel Police have today begun a...military operation to defeat terrorism in Jenin," Netanyahu said.

IDF soldiers, including special operations, ISA, and Border Police personnel will operate in the coming days in the Jenin area.

Palestinian Authority security forces exited the area following a month-long operation of its own against local Palestinian terror groups.
