K-State coach Jerome Tang called a 30-second timeout after a Bidunga hook shot gave KU a 7-0 lead and another timeout when KU went up 14-0 following a Zeke Mayo 3. Mayo went 4-of-7 from 3 and scored 24 points. He was 6-of-8 from the line.
He was referring to injured senior forward KJ Adams who dislocated his shoulder in Wednesday’s loss at Iowa State. Adams missed Saturday’s game versus K-State and is expected to miss his second straight game Wednesday at TCU. KU coach Bill Self has said Adams’ status will be a “week-to-week” decision.
The No. 9 Jayhawks, who smothered Cincinnati in a 54-40 KU road victory on Saturday, meanwhile, have averaged 72.0 points per contest, a number inflated a bit thanks to a 99-point explosion on Jan. 5 at UCF.

The Kansas Jayhawks are coming off a loss to arguably their biggest rival in the Big 12, only to face their in-state rival in the Kansas State Wildcats. But with the friendly confines of Allen Fieldhouse waiting, it's safe to say that they should be massive favorites in this one.
