The Nashville Predators were quiet on deadline day. GM Barry Trotz explained his decisions and addressed the Penguins flipping Luke Schenn.
The NHL’s trade deadline came and went Friday afternoon with only one minor move made by the Predators. Nashville traded forward Mark Jankowski to Carolina for a fifth-round draft pick in 2026. In 123 games over three seasons with Nashville, Jankowski registered 36 points (18 goals, 18 assists).
Jankowski will miss at least one game after being injured in Sunday's 5-0 loss to New Jersey. He has registered three goals, eight points, 38 shots on net, 23 hits and 19 blocked shots through 39 appearances this season. Kieffer Bellows will replace Jankowski in Tuesday's lineup.
The Nashville Predators wrap up their three-game road trip Tuesday with a visit to the Boston Bruins at TD Garden.
