All-Star shortstop and two-time World Series MVP Corey Seager says he feels great and will be ready to go on the first day of spring training with the Texas Rangers after twice having hernia surgery last year.

Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager has had a “pretty normal offseason” for the first time in some time after an injury-induced finish to his regular season. The better news: He said Friday before the club’s awards dinner at the Loews Arlington hotel that he’ll be ready to go on day one of spring training.

Looking ahead towards the 2025 MLB season, shortstop Corey Seager and pitcher Jacob deGrom are two Texas Rangers stars among the favorites for the AL MVP and the Cy Young.

Corey Seager is coming off a rock-solid year with the Texas Rangers. He started 123 games, hitting .278/.353/.512 with 21 doubles, 30 home runs, and 74 runs batted in.

Both are now healthy, free of restrictions and back to baseball activities with less than a month until pitchers and catchers report to the Rangers' spring training complex in Surprise, Arizona. “Full go,” said Jung, who underwent his second wrist surgery on Oct. 11. “There’s nothing I haven’t done.”
