Sheriff Scott Fitch said a tattoo on the body is a tentative match for one on a man recently reported missing by his family.

A body of a man was recovered from the Mississippi River Saturday afternoon, Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson said.

Just after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, deputies were called to the Campbell's Island area for a report of a person in the water.
