1st snow flurries of the fall forecast in the mountains this week
The snow level will hover near only 4,000 feet on Thursday and Friday, and some of the more well-traveled routes, like Stevens and White passes, should see their first wet flurries of the season.
A large 'wall' of snow clouds is shown to cover the country from the East Midlands up to Scotland later today, with the highest concentration anticipated in the Yorkshire Dales north of Leeds.
