One of two US Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainees who escaped during a power outage at a Colorado detention facility earlier this week was captured Friday, authorities said.

A man who escaped the ICE detention facility in Aurora in March was recaptured Tuesday in Denver, federal law enforcement agencies reported.

The two reportedly escaped after a power outage at the Denver Contract Detention Facility in Aurora unlocked a set of doors. The GEO Group, which runs the facility, said in a statement that the outage may have allowed the two to bypass security and scale a perimeter fence.
