Police have not detailed injuries to civilians in the incident. The incident occurred shortly before midnight at the intersection of Bourbon and Conti streets, according to NOPD.

The crash, which caused fires in both vehicles, took place shortly before 1 p.m. about two miles east of Bourbon, Missouri, and about 65 miles southwest of St. Louis.

A New Orleans police officer was injured in a hit-and-run near Bourbon and Conti. Police are searching for two suspects and asking the public to avoid the area.
