A drive-thru coffee chain with immense popularity throughout the country is getting set to open its first Cincinnati location this year.

The McDonald's drive-thru at 1000 Commerce St. will likely remain open for two more years: the City Plan Commission voted Nov. 7 in favor of renewing its special-use permit for that long.
