The U.S. and EU have struck a $1.35 trillion deal to boost U.S. energy dominance, resolve trade disputes, and strengthen economic ties, marking a major global shift.

European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said the deal “will bring stability, it will bring predictability, that’s very important for our businesses on both sides of the Atlantic.”

The European Union will purchase $750 billion of U.S. energy under its new trade deal with the Trump administration. Mike Sommers, president and CEO of the American Petroleum Institute, joined "The Takeout" to discuss.
