HOCKLEY COUNTY, Texas — Darrel Keith Hudson, 54, of Levelland was pronounced deceased following a crash in Hockley County on Wednesday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The victim was rushed to the hospital by Life Flight after the shooting on Falcon's Nest Landing Drive near Osprey Point, not far from Highway 290.

Tributes have been paid to a beloved Hockley headmaster and active community member, John Tombs, who sadly passed away last week.
