A TikToker has demonstrated an ingenious way to treat choking when the airway becomes blocked from a stuck piece of food.

Natalie May, a student at East Kentwood High School, saved a man’s life through the technique while working as a waitress at Brann’s Steakhouse and Grille in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Cafeteria aide Peggy Marchand used the Heimlich maneuver to save a student who was choking on an orange at Maplewood Elementary.

I didn’t know he was actually, actually choking so I just did my thing, which was a Heimlich,” Jayceon said. The 9-year-old performed the life-saving technique without hesitation.
