Huawei flips the foldable game with Pura X — a wide-screen flip phone powered by HarmonyOS 5, packed with AI, pro cameras, and zero reliance on Android.

The new phone, which costs just over $1,000, has a wide display and does not include Google's Android software.

The Pura X is also the first phone to run the new Harmony Intelligence AI assistant.

The phone also comes with Xiaoyi, a new AI assistant that uses Huawei's artificial intelligence models as well as some from China's DeepSeek. The phone starts at 7,499 Chinese yuan, or about $1,037.
