I’ll Fly Away was inspired by the name itself, a song penned by her grandfather Albert E. Brumley and released in 1932.

So, in a moment when so many are offering what they can for the common good, Turner picked up his horn and called a few friends to record a performance of "I'll Fly Away" in City Park.

But “I’ll Fly Away” was the one that became legendary. It’s been recorded so many times that no one is really sure how many covers exist; it’s estimated to be at least 5,000.
